Joyner Family Christmas 2024 Update

Merry Christmas from the Joyners! Here’s a little bit of our life this past year. We hope and pray the Lord’s peace and blessing over you this Advent season.

D – Our little guy is now 5 years old! This year he played Tee Ball in the Spring and started soccer this past Fall when he started Kindergarten. David can often be found working on his letters in cursive.  And he enjoys skipping backwards!

A – She is now 7 and her favorite new thing is Circus Silks. If you haven’t heard of this, it is an aerialist circus art. She hangs from long silk fabric that is attached to the ceiling and does all sorts of acrobatic moves in, around, up, and down with the fabric. She also loves singing, dancing, and skipping!

K – She is enjoying more opportunities to sing this year. She participated in the Sound of Music (as Sister Sophia) in the Spring and in The Fiddler on the Roof (as the Constable) over the summer; she joined the chamber choir at school this year as a 9th grader, in addition to concert choir.  She also played tennis for her school in the Fall and enjoys playing tennis or pickle ball with friends and family when given the chance.

All the children – love school, are blessed to have some good friends, enjoy reading, and enjoy times singing at the piano with Daddy.

Sarah – Enjoys time outside, staring at the sky and the clouds, as the beauty of nature never gets old, and going on long walks.  She feels very blessed to be able to continue to work as a therapist in the practice she started three years ago, Good Courage Counseling, where she finds great joy in helping individuals, couples, and families, heal from past wounds and uncover who God has made them to be.

Jesse – He is still performing his juggling show full time! His newest project is a joint venture with his friend Steve Grosz. They are the creators and hosts of the new podcast Holy Fools and the Soul of Craftwork. Take a listen! They would also love a share and a follow. 🙂

He is also teaching classes for Ascent College where he gets to help young people develop in their callings for Christian ministry. He teaches courses in Biblical Studies as well as Children and Family Ministries.
